Working with extremes and peripheries of dance, Angela Praed’s unconventional creations investigate new territories for performance. From durational all-night productions to dance installations on rooftops, from large multi-generational casts to intimate encounters in private bedrooms, Angela Praed challenges conventional performance making, while presenting works of psychological depth, intellectual rigour and a strong visual signature. 

Each work is created through a long process of choreographic enquiry for a specific situation or environment, gradually morphing and arriving at a distinct performance format. Yet, most works can be toured or adapted for different locations. Works have been presented in the UK, Belgium, Greece and Germany.
