Working with extremes and peripheries of dance, Angela Praed’s unconventional creations investigate new territories for performance. From durational all-night productions to dance installations on rooftops, from large multi-generational casts to intimate encounters in private bedrooms, Angela Praed challenges conventional performance making, while presenting works of psychological depth, intellectual rigour and a strong visual signature.
Each work is created through a long process of choreographic enquiry for a specific situation or environment, gradually morphing and arriving at a distinct performance format. Yet, most works can be toured or adapted for different locations. Her works have been presented in the UK, Greece, Germany and Belgium.

Praed’s work has a distinct choreographic signature, is process driven and holistic for participants. Often bespoke to communities and participants, her unique outcomes are enriching. With over thirty years experience of working in education, community and theatre, Praed has enormous experience and understanding to bring to her projects.
